Thousandths are the new place in Grade 6. Ontario expectation B1.4 asks students to read, represent, compare, and order decimals to the thousandths. This printable preview does that, then uses the numbers. Students identify the value of the 1 in 6.261, match a shaded grid to a decimal, and choose the greater of 0.099 and 0.025. They order 0.578, 0.067, and 0.869 from least to greatest and round 4.192 to the nearest tenth. The full sheet also converts 1/5 to a decimal, adds 18.45 + 23.48, and multiplies 3.23 by 10. Whole-number places up to a million are the Grade 6 place value page; this one starts at the decimal point.
