QuizPrint is a worksheet builder at quizprint.ca. You can generate, preview, and print a worksheet without an account. This page describes what stays on your device, what an optional sign-in stores, and what is sent when you flag a question or send feedback.

Worksheets without an account

Generating a worksheet happens in your browser. QuizPrint does not receive the questions or your answers unless you do something else, such as sign in, open Practice now and flag a question, or send feedback.

While this page is open, the browser keeps a few things in memory so the builder can restore them during the session:

  • Student names and the sidebar settings saved for each name.
  • Scores from finished worksheets that have a student name.
  • The region you last used, which chooses Canadian or US spelling and some place names.

Guests do not keep a student roster. Sign in to save up to 20 students and Results history to the account. The region preference is stored in browser local storage. A worksheet with no student name is not saved as a score.

Signing in

Sign-in is optional. You can use an email and password, Google, Facebook, or X. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. QuizPrint asks social providers only for the basic profile information those services already use to identify you: an account id, name, and email. QuizPrint does not request access to your account’s files or messages.

After a successful sign-in, QuizPrint stores an account record with the sign-in provider, the provider’s account id, your email, and whether this account shows the worksheet timer. A new account also stores a short device, browser, and operating-system label taken from the signup request’s User-Agent when that header is present. The full User-Agent string is not stored. If the request does not include one, those labels stay empty. A password registration sends a confirmation link to that address. A forgot-password request sends a reset link to that address when a password account exists. The address counts as confirmed only after the link is opened, or when a social sign-in already includes that address. Accounts that never confirm an email may be removed after 2 weeks. A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in on this browser. QuizPrint does not receive or store your Google, Facebook, or X password.

The email on the account may also be used to contact you about QuizPrint itself—for example, to ask for product feedback after you sign up. QuizPrint does not sell that address or use it for third-party advertising. You can ask to stop those messages by replying to one of them.

QuizPrint records which site pages are opened (the path and worksheet settings in the address, without the student name) for signed-in accounts and for guests, along with the browser’s reported screen width and height, and a short device, browser, and operating-system label taken from the request’s User-Agent. Guests are identified only by a random id stored in the browser’s local storage—not by a cookie QuizPrint sets. Those page trails are kept for up to 30 days and are removed when a signed-in account is deleted (guest trails expire on their own).

Accounts and access

QuizPrint lets anyone generate practice worksheets. Sign in with Google, Facebook, or X (auto-verified when the provider confirms the account), or with email and password (confirm the email address when prompted), to save students and keep Results history. Unverified email accounts can still use every signed-in feature; QuizPrint shows a reminder on the worksheet until the address is confirmed. Accounts that never confirm an email may be removed after 2 weeks.

Paid membership billing is paused. Stripe Checkout, customer portal, and teacher complimentary-membership request flows may still exist in the product for older links or admin tools, but they are not offered in the public UI. If billing returns later, this privacy notice will be updated.

Student names and scores

When you are signed in, student names you add and their sidebar filters are stored in QuizPrint’s database and loaded from there on each visit. An account may keep up to 20 students. For each student that includes the name and the saved sidebar settings: grade, subject or exam, topic, difficulty, question count, print layout, answer-key choices, seed, and region.

A saved score includes the student name, when it was finished, the worksheet settings, the number correct, and which choice was selected for each question. The choice is stored as a letter position, not as a separate copy of the question text. The same seed can rebuild that worksheet. Signed-in accounts can view full score history, charts, and links back to worksheets.

Student names are whatever you type. Use a name you are comfortable storing, such as a first name or a classroom label. QuizPrint uses the names to restore a student’s settings and to show scores on the Results page.

Flagged questions and feedback

Flagging a question (from Practice now or when reviewing a finished sheet) sends that question to QuizPrint so it can be corrected. The report includes the prompt, choices, answer, grade, subject, topic, difficulty, seed, and the page address. The student name is removed from the page address before it is sent. The request is rate-limited by IP address, but the IP address is not stored in the question report.

“Request a feature or report a bug” sends the title, the details you write, and the page address to a GitHub issue. The student name is removed from that address as well. Do not put a student’s name, email, or other personal details in the message.

Cookies and IP addresses

The sign-in cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. QuizPrint also stores a first-party cookie named qp_internal when a page is opened with the internal parameter that turns Google Analytics off for that browser. That cookie lasts about two years, is not used for advertising, and is not set for other visitors. QuizPrint does not use advertising cookies. A random visitor id may be stored in browser local storage so guest page trails can be grouped; it is not a cookie. If you register or sign in on the same browser, those guest trails may be linked to your account.

When a Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID is configured on the host, Google’s analytics script (gtag) loads and may set its own analytics cookies so page views can be counted, unless this browser has the analytics opt-out flag. If that ID is not set, or the opt-out flag is set, the script does not load and no analytics cookies are used. Student names and similar personal details are removed from the page address and the referring address before anything is sent. The owner admin pages are not sent.

The server sees the IP address on requests. Rate limits store it with a short request count so one address cannot flood flags, feedback, password sign-in, password reset requests, or account registration. Stale rate-limit counters are removed when later requests arrive. Hosting logs may also include the IP address, the page requested, and the time.

Who else handles this information

QuizPrint uses these services to run the site:

  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Neon hosts the database for accounts, rosters, scores, membership status, question reports, short exam share links, and signed-in page trails.
  • Google, Facebook, and X handle sign-in when you choose them.
  • Stripe handles membership checkout, invoices, and the customer portal.
  • Resend sends the email confirmation and password reset links, and admin notices for pending teacher membership requests.
  • Google Analytics records page views when a Measurement ID is configured on the host.
  • GitHub stores feature and bug reports as issues.

QuizPrint does not sell personal information.

How long it is kept

Guest score data lasts only for the browser session. Guests do not keep a student roster. The region preference remains in browser storage until it is cleared or replaced. Account data stays until you delete the account, until QuizPrint removes an account that never confirmed an email after 2 weeks, or until QuizPrint purges an account that has not signed in for more than two years. Membership status stays until the Stripe subscription ends or the account is deleted. Signed-in page trails are kept for up to 30 days for both signed-in accounts and guests. Question reports and feedback issues are kept so a bad question or a bug can be fixed. Rate-limit counters are kept only for the active five-minute rate-limit window; stale counters are removed during later requests.

Download or delete an account

On the Results page, a signed-in user can download a JSON file of the saved roster and scores, or delete the account. Deleting removes the account record, connected Google, Facebook, and X sign-ins, the email confirmation and password-reset records, any teacher membership request (school name and optional note), the roster, the scores, and the signed-in page trail from the database, clears those copies on that device, and signs you out. If a Stripe subscription is attached, QuizPrint also cancels it.

Flagged questions and feedback issues are not attached to the account, so deleting the account does not remove them.

Children

QuizPrint is for parents and teachers making practice for Grades 1–8. It does not ask a child to create an account. If you save a student’s name or scores, you are responsible for having a proper reason to store that information.

Changes and contact

If this page changes in a way that affects what is collected, the date at the top will change with it. The terms explain how the worksheets may be used.

The worksheet feedback form creates a public GitHub issue and is not a private privacy-request channel. Do not submit student names, email addresses, or other personal information there. Account data can be downloaded or deleted from the Results page.
