Free CogAT number puzzle worksheets

CogAT · Number puzzles · Grades 1–8

A number puzzle is an equation with a hole. You might see a box where a number should be, and four or five choices for what belongs there. The sentence to solve is the equation, not a story. QuizPrint uses these in the quantitative battery at every grade from 1 to 8. The sample is Grade 4, where students are used to multi-digit equations but the item is still one relationship. Number series, which ask what comes next in a list, are a different page. QuizPrint is not affiliated with Riverside Insights, and these worksheets are not official CogAT questions.

Common questions

What is missing in a number puzzle?
A number in an equation. The student chooses the choice that makes the equation true.
Do number puzzles start at Grade 1?
Yes in this catalog. The equations follow the grade, so a Grade 1 puzzle is not a Grade 8 equation.
